Der Model 04 ist auf einem Rahmen aus massivem Buchenholz und Holzwerkstoffen (Sperrholz, Hartfaserplatte, Spanplatte und MDF) aufgebaut, der für zusätzliche Stabilität verstärkt ist. Die vorderen Beine bestehen aus massiver Buche mit Wenge-Finish, die hinteren Beine aus Metall mit einer schwarzen Pulverbeschichtung, die Kratzern und Rost widersteht. Der Aufbau erfolgt über Swyfts werkzeugfreies SWYFT-LOK-Befestigungssystem; aufgrund des Sofagewichts von 102,5 kg wird der Aufbau zu zweit empfohlen.

Das Sitzkissen kombiniert Schaumstoff mit Taschenfedern für zusätzlichen Halt. Die Rücken- und Seitenkissen sind mit Samt Knochenweiß bezogen, ein blasses, warmes Kittweiß, und mit einer Mischung aus 60 % Hohlfaser und 40 % Schaumstoffflocken gefüllt; ein Innenbezug schützt die Füllung und hilft, die Form dauerhaft zu erhalten. Die Bezüge sind nicht abnehmbar, aber wendbar. Um das Sofa in ein Bett zu verwandeln, wird die Sitzfläche auf Rollen nach vorne gezogen und die Rückenlehne mit dem werkzeugfreien SWYFT-PIN-HINGE-Mechanismus flach heruntergeklappt, darunter kommt eine Doppelmatratze (190 x 135 cm) mit über 300 Taschenfedern in Sitz- und Rückenteil zum Vorschein. Die Seitenkissen können zusätzlich als Kopfkissen verwendet werden, ein Matratzentopper ist separat erhältlich. Das Sofa wird in zwei Kartons geliefert, was den Transport ins Haus erleichtert.

The Model 04 is on the firmer side as a sofa. As a bed, it is well regarded for comfort.

Which fabrics work best on the Model 04 if I have pets?

No fabric is fully pet-proof. Velvet and boucle attract pet hair. Chenille and linen are easier to clean. Faux leather is the most resistant to scratches and pet hair. We recommend ordering swatches before deciding.

Is the Model 04 Sofa Bed available in a 2-seater version?

No - the Model 04 sofa bed is 3-seater only.

How does the Model 04 Sofa Bed mechanism work?

The Model 04 arrives flat-packed in two boxes and is designed for self-assembly. The backrest connects to the base using pins at each end, which need to click fully into place before use. We have the assembly instructions and video on the product page.

If the backrest doesn't stay in place during assembly, it's usually due to slight misalignment rather than a fault. If you're unsure or it continues, our support team will be happy to help.

Will the Model 04 Sofa Bed fit through a narrow hallway or up stairs?

The 2-box design means the longest piece is 195 cm - similar in length to a double mattress. The delivery team can unbox at the door and bring pieces in separately if needed. This is standard practice and access failures are rare.
