Our Model 11 sofa bed is a simple, no-frills design. A classic, we like to call it.

What’s great about simple designs like these is that they act as a canvas for whatever style you like. If you’re into mid-century modern, the Model 11 looks right at home with that vintage, teak wall unit you found. If you’re more of a maximalist, pick a bold colour and layer it up with clashing prints.

We have this rule where every sofa bed we make has to look as good as a sofa as it does a bed, and the Model 11 is no exception. Here are 11 fun ways to style it in your home.

#1: Terracotta Tones

Nature-inspired design is big this year, but it’s not all greens! Instead, take inspiration from natural elements like clay, and pair the Model 11 sofa bed in Brick with burnt orange or brown cushions, a cinnamon-toned throw and a walnut coffee table nearby

#2: Stone Neutrals

Again, taking inspiration from nature, but with a more neutral palette - the Model 11 sofa bed in Risso Linen is the perfect base for other neutrals like light greys, cool-toned beige and clean, off-whites.

#3: Major Maximalism

For those who like it bold with a capital B! What if you pattern-clashed some cushions and throws on top of this rich yellow velvet? The Model 11 in Mustard is more than a sofa bed, it’s a statement.

#4: The New Pop of Red

Instead of that bright, primary red we’ve seen in previous years, the new pop of red trend leans more into deeper burgundies and oxblood tones. Let them take centre stage with the Model 11 in Charcoal, or clash beautifully with the Model 11 in Kingfisher

5: ‘70s Retro

Some things should stay in the ‘70s, but those iconic colour palettes? We’ll take them any decade. If you want to recreate the retro look with a modern twist, try the Model 11 sofa bed in Vine velvet, with our Storage 03 ottoman in Paprika or Bronze

#6: Midcentury Minimalism

Midcentury Minimalism is the design movement that actually inspired the Model 11 sofa bed. Keep it classic in grey linen and pair with brown leather cushions for a polished, clean look that never goes out of style.

7: Cool and Warm

One of the easiest ways to create contrast in a room is to place cool and warm tones together. For example: The Model 11 in Teal with a warm mustard throw, or the Model 11 in Brick with a cool-toned pale blue.

#8: Dark Neutrals

Typically, when we think of neutrals, we picture beige, cream and white. But neutrals can have a dark side too. The Model 11 in Charcoal is a moody base for deeper tones, like navy blues or bitter chocolate brown. Combined with Model 11’s slick, minimalist shape, these colours make for an ultra-sophisticated look.

#9: Tonal Layering

Pick one colour and stick with it. That’s what makes the Tonal Layering trend so simple. And you can easily apply it to your Model 11 sofa bed. Picture the Vine Velvet with different shades of green, or the Model 11 in Mustard stacked with more of those warm, inviting yellows.

#10: Serene Hues

Want your Model 11 sofa bed to feel like an oasis for sleep? Serene hues - like sage greens, lilacs and pale blues - work wonders with the Risso Linen.

#11: Contrasting Edges

The Model 11 is all crisp, clean lines and sharp angles. But what if you were to create contrast with curved edges? Instead of the usual square throw cushions, opt for round cushions, bolster pillows or scalloped pillow cases to create an eye-catching juxtaposition.
