Collection: Coverless Duvets

A duvet with the cover already built in. Machine washable, machine dry in 90 to 120 minutes, and no separate cover to buy.

What a coverless duvet is

A coverless duvet is exactly what it sounds like: the cover is part of the duvet, so there is no separate outer to buy, stuff or wash. Making the bed becomes one movement. Washday loses an item. And because the whole thing goes into a domestic machine, the duvet gets cleaned as often as the rest of your bedding rather than once a year and hopefully.

Four designs, single to king

Polar white seersucker for a clean, textured finish. Blue herringbone stripes reversing to polar white for a coastal look. Earthy olive gingham reversing to solid olive green for a country check. Dusky rose in a soft melange weave for something quieter and warmer. Single sets come with one coordinating pillowcase, double and king sets with two. The herringbone stripe is a limited edition design.

Washes at home, machine dry in 90 to 120 minutes

No dry cleaner and no launderette. These go into your own machine, then machine dry in 90 to 120 minutes, holding their shape rather than going lumpy or drifting into the corners. The peachskin microfibre outer stays smooth against skin through repeated washing, which is the part most washable bedding gets wrong.

Recycled filling, renewable energy

The Smartfil® filling is made from 100% recycled PET bottles, and it is hypoallergenic, which makes these a sensible choice for sensitive sleepers. All four designs are rated 10.5 tog for all year use. They are produced in the Fine Bedding Company's B Corp certified eco-factory in Estonia, which runs on 100% renewable energy.

Coverless Duvet FAQs

What is a coverless duvet?

A duvet with the cover built into it. There is no separate duvet cover to buy or put on, and the design you can see is the duvet itself.

Can you put a coverless duvet in the washing machine?

Yes. These are made for it, and they machine dry in 90 to 120 minutes, which is the main reason they exist. A conventional duvet usually needs a commercial machine or a dry cleaner.

Do coverless duvets come with pillowcases?

Yes. Single sets include one coordinating pillowcase, and double and king sets include two.

What tog are they?

All four designs are 10.5 tog, which is an all-season weight. If you sleep hot, the Breathe duvet comes in a lighter 4.5 tog.

Can you still put a duvet cover on one?

You can, but there is no need. The duvet is finished on the outside and designed to be used exactly as it arrives.
